A limited number of grants are available from the Scottish Informatics and Computer Science Alliance (SICSA) for students attending Scottish universities. These grants cover the cost of registration and, if necessary, accommodation. They do not cover travel, however since you will be attending a SICSA-sponsored event your institution's SICSA budget should cover travel.
These grants are available on a first-come, first-served basis and are only available at the early-bird rates
(£500 including accommodation or £250 without accommodation). The deadline for applications is
13th July 2014 23rd July 2014.
If you wish to apply for a SICSA grant, tick the box when registering. You will need to provide the name and e-mail address of your PhD supervisor so we can check your eligibility.
Note that the SICSA grant can only cover the cost of accommodation if you select the residential rate (£500) when registering.
